SUMMER COHORT Enrollment Closing In:
⬇️ Here's what's waiting for you ⬇️
You sit down to write a song and have no idea where to start...
You have a notebook (or voice memos) full of half-finished songs that never get completed...
You read back the lyrics you wrote and they sound cliché, generic, or "child-like"...
You started a song with a great idea, hit verse 2, and had nothing left to say.
All your melodies start sounding the same — or so complicated that even YOU can't remember how your own song goes...
You wait for inspiration to strike, and the inspiration rarely arrives...
You compare your songs to your favorite artists and end up disappointed (or just quietly deleting them)...
You hold back from sharing your music because you don't think it's "good enough" yet...
If you nodded “yes” to any of these, you’re in really good company. I used to feel exactly the same way!

“I've been collecting ideas and half finished songs for years, but never got around to doing anything with them. I'm so glad I made the commitment to take my dream to become an artist more seriously and enroll in Songwriting For Singers, because now I have released songs that have been sitting as raw ideas in my notes app for years and I'm so excited about that!”
- Elizabeth Miller, aka ebeth
For over a decade, I had no idea where to start, and no idea what to write about.
When I started writing songs, my high school music teacher told me the song I wrote for my senior project was "meaningless, cliché, and forgettable." The lyrics didn't go with the melodies, and I kept repeating the same melodies over and over.
Even when I enrolled at Berklee College of Music - where I knew more music theory than most of my classmates and had been playing piano and guitar for years - my professors never had anything positive to say about my writing.
I remember thinking, "If even Berklee can't teach me how to write songs, maybe I'm just not meant to do this."
Then I got connected to a Nashville producer named Matt Bronleewe - he's written #1 records for Selena Gomez, Hayley Williams, and the Jonas Brothers. In our sessions, I watched him write songs in a way I'd never seen before.
He'd sit down at his laptop, build a track in 15 minutes, put it on loop, and look at me: "OK, sing me something." No chord progressions. No instrument in my hands. Just a track on loop and me humming melodies into a mic. I wrote the entire album that opened the doors to my artist career and never touched an instrument the whole time. Not once.
The method has a name. It's called toplining. And it's how almost every song you've heard on the radio in the past 15 years has been made - Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X. Roughly 80% of professional songwriting sessions today are done this way, yet most singers have never been taught how.
Once I learned it, my songs started winning international competitions. Under my artist name Lumane, I had labels reaching out, offers to write for other artists, and invitations to perform at some of the biggest music festivals in the U.S.
I knew that this method needed to be brought to more singers out there, so I brought it home to Juliana, our head songwriting coach. She's been a working artist and writer in LA for the last decade, with multiple EPs in English and Spanish and millions of streams. Together we adapted the method specifically for singers, and for the past four years Juliana has been the one in the room with our students every week - refining it, teaching it, getting them their first finished songs.

I built the Songwriting For Singers framework based on what I learned in Nashville, but Juliana is the one who's been teaching it to our students every single day for the past 4 years. She's the reason this program works as well as it does, and when you join, you're working directly with her every single week.

Hola! I’m Juliana.
Originally from Colombia, I've been a singer, songwriter, and artist in Los Angeles since 2018 with multiple EPs released in both English and Spanish that have accumulated millions of streams.
Unlike Lara, songwriting has been my first love. Unlike Lara, songwriting has been my first love. I wrote my first song when I was 3 (about all the things that scared me) and never stopped. I eventually moved to the U.S. to study at The Musicians Institute and Berklee College of Music, and have been writing professionally ever since.
What I love most these days is helping other singers experience the same joy I do - that moment when a song finally comes together and a student realizes, "I actually wrote this."
For the next 12 weeks, I'll be the one walking you through the framework, giving you feedback on your songs, and helping you when you get stuck. Whether you play an instrument or not, I can't wait to help you turn the ideas in your notebook into songs you're truly proud of.

“I once tried to write a song together with my band, but the process was so frustrating... I just couldn't find the right words to say what I really wanted to say. My band mates finished the song without me because I was so fed up with the whole process and the song. I hadn't touched songwriting since. I'm so glad I gave this a chance though because now - thanks to this framework - I can finally express myself and even enjoy the songwriting process!”
- Pro Performer, Singer & Vocal Coach Rachel Beasley

We've been helping singers with their songwriting since 2022. Here's what they have said about Songwriting For Singers.

“Before this program I never really thought about if a melody is repeatable or something that someone could sing back to me. I’ve been playing instruments for a long time and so I would get caught up in creating melodies from an analytical standpoint. This has changed now and made my melodies a lot more singable and memorable - for myself and my audience.”

About The Group Classes:
The summer cohort will be running from the week of June 15th until the week of August 31st (12 weeks).
We’ll choose the day and time for group classes based on everyone’s availability once enrollment closes.
Since the groups are kept small (around 5–6 people), there will be multiple class options on different days and times to accommodate everyone’s schedule. After you enroll, we’ll ask for your availability to make sure you’re placed in a group that works best for you.
There will be times available from Monday to Thursday (no weekends).
Each group call is small and interactive - you’ll get direct feedback on your songs, questions answered live, and hear what others are working on too. It’s one of the best parts of the program because you’ll grow faster learning alongside others on the same journey.
All group calls are recorded and uploaded to your member area, so you’ll never miss out. You can even submit your song or question ahead of time, and we’ll make sure it’s answered during the call.
Nope! Even if coach Juliana helps you write your melodies and/or lyrics, you won't have to share any songwriting credit with us if you decide to release your songs. We are your coaches, not co-writers who take credit.
That’s completely normal - most people feel that way at first! The truth is, group classes are one of the fastest, most supportive ways to grow as a songwriter. You’ll quickly realize that everyone else is learning too, and you’ll gain so much by hearing how others approach their songs and the feedback they receive. Often, the questions someone else asks will help you understand something you didn’t even know you were stuck on.
We keep the groups small (around 5–6 people), so it always feels safe, encouraging, and personal. You’ll leave every class inspired, supported, and excited to keep writing.
About The Courses & Fit:
You’ll have lifetime access to all lessons, resources, and replays - so you can revisit everything anytime you want, even after the 8 weeks are over.
All softwares that we used to demonstrate the system inside the course either have a free trial or are free to use.
As for microphones, you could literally use the microphone on your phone's headphones (the ones with cable - old school haha!). Of course, if you have a recording microphone, the quality will be better. On the checkout page we also give you the option to add recording gear to your purchase (special VTS discount).
Absolutely. The lessons are designed for singers, not tech experts. You’ll follow simple, clear video tutorials showing exactly what to click and how to do it - no confusing jargon.
Absolutely! I played instruments before I started writing songs too - and learning this method unlocked a whole new level of creativity for me.
Even if you already write with your instrument, the toplining method will give you a completely fresh way to approach songwriting. It’s amazing to be able to do both. Coach Juliana can guide you if you’d like to explore writing with your instrument alongside what you learn in the course.
Yes! You can either use tracks to topline to and then learn what the chord progressions are so that your band can play the song you're writing...
Or you can use your band to create the "track" - the music for your song - and then you topline over that!
This program was designed with you in mind. It’s not about being “good enough” - it’s about having the right system and support to bring out the potential that’s already inside you.
We’ll help you gain the confidence, clarity, and creative freedom to finally get out of your own way and start writing songs you’re proud of.
We get it - life is busy. That’s why this program is designed to be efficient and flexible, so you can make real progress without feeling overwhelmed.
We’ll help you create a plan that fits songwriting into your existing routine, even if you only have a few hours each week. Every lesson and exercise is structured to give you results fast - no time wasted guessing what to do next.
Yes! This method is perfect for both beginner and intermediate songwriters because it skips all the complicated music theory and gets you writing and finishing songs right away.
You don’t need to know how to play an instrument or have any prior experience - we’ll guide you step by step so you can start creating songs that sound professional, even as a total beginner.
Yes, 100%! Even experienced songwriters sometimes get stuck repeating the same patterns or writing similar melodies over and over. This program gives you a fresh approach through toplining, along with creative tools that will help your songs stand out and sound more professional.
Totally fine! We’ve had singers from all over the world take this course. As long as you understand basic English, you’ll be able to follow along easily - and you can even write songs in your native language.
Coach Juliana also speaks perfect Spanish in addition to English.
By the end of 12 weeks, most students have written 2–3 full songs they’re proud of - but even more importantly, they finally feel like real songwriters. You’ll walk away with confidence, clarity, and the skills to keep creating long after the course ends.
