When I first started writing songs, everyone around me told me they weren’t good - the melodies didn’t fit the lyrics, the lyrics were cliché and meaningless, and overall my songs were forgettable.
Even when I took songwriting classes at Berklee, my professors never had anything positive to say. The only time I got praise was for a song my friend helped me write.

Meet Coach Juliana
Hola! I’m Juliana, and I can’t wait to be your coach for the next 8 weeks! I’m originally from Colombia, but I’ve been living in Los Angeles since 2018 as a singer, songwriter, performer, and artist coach.
Unlike Lara, songwriting has always been my first love. I still remember the first “song” I wrote at 3 years old - singing about things that scared me and reassuring myself through music. From then on, I turned everything into a song - school, friends, heartbreak, you name it.
When my parents gave me a guitar for my 12th birthday, I was instantly hooked. I started writing two songs a day - they weren’t great at first, but I was obsessed. The turning point came when I performed my songs at my high school and saw people in the audience moved to tears. That’s when I knew: this is what I’m meant to do.
I later moved to the U.S. to study songwriting at Berklee College of Music and The Musicians Institute. But once I got there, I realized how much I still had to learn. Many of my classmates were producers and multi-instrumentalists, and at first, I felt behind. I could sing and play basic guitar and piano, but they seemed miles ahead...
Luckily, I didn’t let that stop me for long. Instead of comparing myself, I chose to learn from them - and little by little, I grew more confident and found my own unique sound.
Since then, I’ve written and released many songs in both English and Spanish, earning millions of streams across platforms. It’s still surreal to think that my songs have gone from touching a few people in my high school back in Colombia to reaching listeners all over the world.
Now, I’m passionate about helping other singers find that same joy, freedom and expression in their songwriting. There’s nothing like seeing a student light up when their song finally comes together - when they realize, “I actually wrote this.”

About The Group Classes:
At what time will the group classes be?
We’ll choose the day and time for group classes based on everyone’s availability once enrollment closes.
Since the groups are kept small (around 5–6 people), there will be multiple class options on different days and times to accommodate everyone’s schedule. After you enroll, we’ll ask for your availability to make sure you’re placed in a group that works best for you.
How are the group calls structured?
Each group call is small and interactive - you’ll get direct feedback on your songs, questions answered live, and hear what others are working on too. It’s one of the best parts of the program because you’ll grow faster learning alongside others on the same journey.
What if I can't make one of the group classes?
All group calls are recorded and uploaded to your member area, so you’ll never miss out. You can even submit your song or question ahead of time, and we’ll make sure it’s answered during the call.
Will I have to share songwriting credit?
Nope! Even if coach Juliana or I help you write your melodies and/or lyrics, you won't have to share any songwriting credit with us if you decide to release your songs. We are your coaches, not co-writers who take credit.
I’m nervous about sharing my songs in front of others… What if I don’t know what I’m doing?
That’s completely normal - most people feel that way at first! The truth is, group classes are one of the fastest, most supportive ways to grow as a songwriter. You’ll quickly realize that everyone else is learning too, and you’ll gain so much by hearing how others approach their songs and the feedback they receive. Often, the questions someone else asks will help you understand something you didn’t even know you were stuck on.
We keep the groups small (around 5–6 people), so it always feels safe, encouraging, and personal. You’ll leave every class inspired, supported, and excited to keep writing.

How long do I have access to the materials
You’ll have lifetime access to all lessons, resources, and replays - so you can revisit everything anytime you want, even after the 8 weeks are over.
Do I need special software or expensive equipment?
All softwares that we used to demonstrate the system inside the course either have a free trial or are free to use. Plus, if you join on the first day (by end of day Wednesday October 15th), we’ll even ship you a Recording Equipment Bundle so you’ll have everything you need to get started.
I’m not tech-savvy... Will I be able to follow along?
Absolutely. The lessons are designed for singers, not tech experts. You’ll follow simple, clear video tutorials showing exactly what to click and how to do it - no confusing jargon. Plus coach Juliana and I will be here for you every step of the way and are happy to walk you through any tech challenges you might face.
I do play instruments... Is this course still worth it for me?
Absolutely! I played instruments before I started writing songs too - and learning this method unlocked a whole new level of creativity for me.
Even if you already write with your instrument, the toplining method will give you a completely fresh way to approach songwriting. Totally fine! We’ve had singers from all over the world take this course. As long as you understand basic English, you’ll be able to follow along easily - and you can even write songs in your native language.
Coach Juliana speaks perfect Spanish in addition to English and I speak perfect German too.
