You know that the most frustrating response you can get as a singer is?
"You're a good singer, but that's it..."
Outch! Unfortunately that's a response I know all too well...
I heard it when I auditioned for The Voice Of Switzerland, For Atlantic Records, for various managers and more.
Even though I had more than 10 years of vocal training, it still wasn't enough...
That caused thoughts like this to form in my head:
😓 "What if I just don't have what it takes to make it in this industry?"
😓 "There's nothing special about my voice."
😓 "I don't even know which songs fit my voice... I sound terrible singing them all."
The longer this went on the more I doubted myself. Before every performance I would get more nervous than the last, making me feel awkward and out of place on stage.
But luckily, I still felt like I was missing something and I just needed to figure out what that was and everything will change.
That's when I realized that I only ever worked on 1 of the 4 vocal pillars of successful singers and that was vocal skill. I could sing pretty much any song under the sun, but just like all these other people told me "that's it"!
Once I developed my own sound, started focusing on storytelling and musicianship I became much more confident as an artist and everything changed.
I got signed to a manager, heard my songs on the radio, performed on TV, did magazine interviews and much more.
The best part is it only took a couple weeks to make those changes.
And now I want to show you how you can do the same inside The Confident Singer Course.

...then you need to understand the 4 pillars of every successful singer.
(Spoiler alert, it has nothing to do with your "brand" like what you wear, hair & make up, etc!)
Your audience can only connect with you if you are deeply and authentically expressing yourself. Forget about HOW you're singing certain notes, but rather focus on the story you want to tell.
Victoria Charlotte
How good of a technical singer are you? Do you have options in your singing? Meaning can you sing the same note in a couple different ways (belt, breath voice, etc)? This will help you keep the listeners interested.
This is where you choose how you want to sing each song, phrase and note. Playing around with different sounds and embellishments will help you develop your own sound so that you're recognizable.
While you don't need to be able to play an instrument, you need to understand and feel the music as a singer so that you can comfortably move around on stage and look and feel like a natural performer.
Singing is not just about sounding good, it's also about telling stories. That's how you connect with your audience and reach them on a deeper emotional level than just impressive notes can do.
Oh, Olivia Rodrigo belted that note? So what?! Just because someone else sings the same song a different way doesn't mean that you are less of a singer. Singing a song in your own way shows your #radioeffect.

Reeta Sievälä, Finland
VTS student and lead singer Billy from Billy & The Kidz went from barely opening her mouth singing a Bruno Mars song in her first lesson to finding her rock style, forming a band and going on tour. The highlight of their tour was playing the iconic Viper Room in Hollywood where the audience was singing their original songs back at them. The VTS team was pumped to travel across the US to be with Billy as she jumped into the professional music scene together with her band and their awesome original songs.
Izzy started her lessons with us in her senior year of High School and decided to pursue music full time for one year after graduating. After putting her heart, sweat and tears into her music, by the end of that summer she was signed to Rude Records. This milestone allowed her to continue her music career and have the opportunity to get her songs from demo tapes onto major platforms. At only 19 years old she is able to confidently follow her passions as a full time musician.
Reeta was not new to participating in singing competitions and though she placed pretty well throughout, she wanted to get to the top. Her lifestyle as a busy working mom didn't hold her back from putting in the work. With the help of VoxTape Studios her hard work paid off! Now she is consistently placing at the top of the competitions she's participating in and wowing her audience every time. She also joined a band as their lead singer and performs with them regularly.
